AMd x2 maya nvidia 8600gt, not utilizing both cores
Any Help would be great, i may just start fresh with a reformat in a couple days.
Every Feature of maya runs on only 1 core except the renderer, which always uses both. Even Mudbox only uses one core ![]() I have installed the Amd x2 cpu driver, and have the newest drivers for all hardware. I have run into a problem with a option on the nvidia video card drivers. its called threaded optimization, which clearly says it affects the cpu utilizing both core, how i dont know. Either way unless i have this feature turned off, Maya handles like a snail, i mean even with 1 poly cube. when i turn it off maya works fine but on 1 core. why oh why does nvidia have anything to do with my cpu? nvidia control panel btw. |
