schematic view in max5?!
hi
i'm a maya user, starting with max 5.. i'm looking for what maya call the hypergraph, in the max help it's call the "schematic" view or something like that, can anyone help me find it please? i need to have that windows that allows you to see all the links, hierarchy and everything... ASAP please. thanks. PH7 |

I see where this is, compared to your image, but i don't have them in mine. (???) I have until the "align" icon, an't see the rest on the far right, but i can see the command panels though..how come? my resolution is 1024x768 .. more help please? thanks. |

Place ur cursor at the very end (not over any icon) of the icon bar. ur cursor should change to the hand icon. Now drag to the left and u can see the rest of the icons. or change toa higher resolution.

unfortunately, you'll find that it's not quite the hypergraph, though. The max schematic view is basic and kind of confusing and a bit limited in it's usefulness.

I noticed that too. The schematic view will certainly show you lots of hierarchical data, but it is not very useful in changing anything...unless there is just something I have missed.

That's one thing that could be reved up in ver. 6. Make the schematic view do something besides select, delete, link. But then again, it does what it says...it's a schematic view.

You can also go to customize/preferences/general and uncheck "use large toolbar buttons" to make all the buttons fit on the screen.
