Modeling a convincing groin.

Hey guys

Ive been working on a character model for a mod I'm working with.

The model is of a WW2 German Soldier (southern Italy) and he is wearing brown German trousers.

Most of the model is fine but I cannot for the life of me figure out the best way to model the groin and the ass of the character. No matter what I do I am not pleased with the result, could someone please help me out with possibly a diagram, wireframe, or general advice as to the best way to model these areas (bearing in mind the character has trousers on).

On this link you can find all the reference, and work in progress pictures of my model. Any help would be greatly recieved

Thanks

Guy

From looking at that wireframe, looks like you have a fair few tris there, including in the groin area. You'll probably find it easier to work with if you can turn them into quads.

there are actually no tris in the groin, only quads, but they are very close.

the main problem I have is that there is such a right angle in the groin area. it makes it look unconvincing.

It's a bit difficult to see with the renders so brightly lit. Maybe show a few more closeups/wireframes?
