braveheart short
hey guys!
about 2 months ago I created this short, but never posted the link here, so here it is now! it's my first serious attempt at lip-synching (damn that's hard stuff to do!!). I've used the very famous braveheart speech, hope ya like it! Allthough it's far from perfect, I think it's ok for now hope to get some comments 'n crits! greets iVo best way is to right click save this target: http://home.wanadoo.nl/grimminck/images/william.wmv |

I like the character. The problems I have with this piece is that you're relying on all the feelings and the expressions to be shown in the face. You should, in my opinion, have the camera further out and animated the body. Have him marching or waving his hands everywhere or something but you need more movement.
The lip syncing is good but it is slightly off (in my opinion) I think you should delay the sound by a few frames. |

interesting, I'd have to say he needs body movement and it bothers me that his jaw stays in place while his mouth is moving...

hey guys,
thanks for the replies. I definetly agree that it needs more bodylanguage 'n stuff! I didn't really feel like modelling the whole body (hey, why not put him on his horse as well?!) since I was making this to test some lip synching..which I now know is very hard to do so I'm gonna concentrate on what I like best, modeling! thanks all iVo |
