XYZ axis in max 5 ...

hi,

I almost finished rigging my character, and i ust noticed this, hope i can change it now..

The Z axis is UP,
and
Y axis is BACK

when it should be reversed, is there a way to have Y back vertical?
is it too late to change it (after rigging)

i don't have to, it's just for when i animate it i like to have Y up and down.

thanks.

We've had this discussion before. I don't know where you guys learned your mathematics, but Z is supposed to be up. (as far as I remember )

I guess it depends on your perspective, I remember Z being in and out, if X and Y are the vertical and horizontal. But with 3d I think it's from a top down view so in the side view the vertical is Z and the in and out is Y.

Doesn't matter as long as you know which is which though.

doesn't really matter too much how you're oriented.

however if you wanna change it, you can affect pivot only under the heirarchy dialogue, just look up affect pivot only in the help file it should point you in the right direction
