Hi! Begining my concept art, not terminated is just to send my idea, i would make an Steampunk weapon with different parts of weapons, and machinary run with portable nuclear convector ^^. Try to finish my concept art tomarrow.

the hose. well originally there was going to be a power supply unit in the 'butt' of the weapon, and a power cable going to the head were an electrical charge was sent through the axe head, and also power to the gun. after some changes in design the bottom of the gun was looking too heavy so I bulked out the head of the weapon, with the idea that the power supply is there now. So the hose / cable became redundant.. I left it in, but am considering removing it, not sure, i like the way it looks, but can't think of a good reason for it to be there lol. |

Work, art and videogames

I made a first aid kit (never know when you might need it on the battle field) or i can always just bash somebody on the head with it lol. Just got to finish texturing the rifle....the polygon count is now at 1215.

miclepickle: if you're just gonna stick with only the bow n arrow, u might as well go ahead and subdivide the bow. it might come pretty close to 3000 but i dont think itll go over. and i just checked. ur good, it comes out to be about 2960. could give u some smoother detail. if wanted it a bit rougher instead of smooth, u could tesselate it (i believe thatll do the trick).

here is my concept and 3d sketch, but it's pretty preliminary. i will very likely change things around. it's an electrical gun, which produces huge discharges of electricity.

I'm not sure i understand the rules on the textures. Sorry this is going to be my first attempt in these contests.
We're allowed one file (i.e one image) as a texture for the weapon(+ 1 for bump and +1 for specular etc..)?. What are the rules should i want to add a ground texture or something in the final render (and maybe a background image)? does the one texture rule only apply to the actual weapon? |
