Db9(wip)

Hello all, just thought i would share my current project . Been at it for a couple of days now but it still needs alot of work. Have got quite abit of the major shape out but it needs a hella of a lot of tweaking as you will notice :P.

Anyway C&C are always welcome:

Another little update mostly finished the tyre's just the back and a little tweaking on the sides. Also tweaked the front quite a bit. Progressing slow but steady .

Not a bad job so far.

The rim is pretty inaccurate, you should use more refpics. Please see for example : http://astonmartin.resmoto.com/opisy...stondb9_04.jpg

The corners of the side air vent need to be more sharpened. Also, the little chrome part on it should be in two parts.

You have a pinch on top of rear fender, just behind the door.

The bottom of the front bumper is wavy. You should remodel it IMHO. Also, the lighting you're using prevent to see the shapes on the front : the corner of fender near headlights, the air intakes in the bumper, for example.

The same goes for the sideskirt : there is a complicated shape there and all that white make it invisible.

The Apillars are too flat.

Keep it up and try to correct all that mistakes. I know by experience how hard is this car to model properly.

Thanks for the comments, alot of good points you have there
Thanks for the ref, yea i see what you mean mines are bit to rounded and need to brought out a bit. Also do you have any good reference of the headlights they have been probably the hardest thing I've done on it can't really get a good view of them.

I did sort out the front bumper alot and then it just crashed and i lost the changes, which annoyed me quite a bit.

I used the AO Plug in since it saves me alot of time i will try to setup for making clear clay renders.
