DWIII - 3D - eXeM - Red Shadow

So Last year i wanted to be one of the soldiers within the lines of threedy but i was lacking needed skills to make lowpoly model, so i dropped out
This year i hope to finish my entry and be on the battleground when the time comes

-------- Update 09.03.2008 --------

-------- Update 05.03.2008 --------
Concept:

Class: Invoker
Weapon: Pieace of Rock
Artefact: Ice | there is an ice artefact inside rock(it controls 4-6 levitating ice shards for additional damage from distance)
Size: around 2 or 3 times taller than average human

-can see without seeing : partially psychic, his vision is coming from another plane of the universe so he can see even invisible energies

Latest stage of modelling

And a little more work done

*added hammer for smashing and melting metal beings
-note* if ill pick this one must make armor in a litte bit brighter blue(helmet like)

Giant Invoker
This Dude uses piece of abnormaly hard rock to destroy his enemies
*ice artefact user - there is an ice artefact inside the skullbreaking rock(it controls 4-6 levitating ice shards for additional damage from distance) whoever sees this artefact gains immotality(but that kickass rock shell will prevent that from ever happening )
* size - around 2 or 3 times taller than average human
*can see without seeing- so he uses helmet that covers almost entire head

Celricon
Lost his arms in battles for fatherland
Healer - absorbs the cosmic energy directly in his blood stream through his wounds(mostly thru place where his arms used to be)
Kind of started to like idea about levitating objects so he has an ice artefact(crystal) too. this one in his head(accident with hiking, healthy sports can be very dangerous to your health)

All of them are going to war against the metal'oids stright from their war so they will have wounds that does not look like hitech army could have done that.

the last two are real quick afterschool quickies, so they are pretty rugh.(had a few more but did not realy like those)
Now i just have to choose which one i like the best.
currently cant decide between stalker and giant.

Hey, I'm liking your giant idea. When I first looked at it tho, I mistook the "ice shards" for snow covered pine trees, and the arrow shafts for broken tree trunks, giving me a false sense of size. I think it could be cool if you made it enormously large, like I thought it was supposed to be at first.

Nothing like going to battle and bringing a mountain with you as a weapon!

darn, now struggling in the battle against hangovers after 3 days of celebrating, i'm never going to repeat that.

hells angel - i have not completely decided, but i kind of want to see how the giant looks in 3d, if i wont like how it looks like then i will convert back to stalker.
Warlock 279 - Nice idea, i'll think about sizing him up.

However i did some sketches of possible armor combinations for stalker ang giant. i dont have a scanner so i cannot post those which i draw in my sketchbook in here but here is some a little bit of photoshop.
The giant

and stalker armor...
four most possible versions for making combinations of back of the armor

Some modelling done. I might make him without helmet(if so then there will be no eyes for him, jujst a tatoo over the place where they should be)
At the moment ~6000 tris, wire is messy and needs optimising.
The armor is coming slowly(like the rest of the body)

Started to work on hipoly mesh of the upper body.
First try:

I hope i will be able to get a good normal map from the hipoly when it is done, becouse i kind of mess everything up when it comes to extracting the normal map.
