Dear Aunty Madrigale,

Thank you for your kind letter. My excursions into the wastes have been going as well as can be expected. And no, as yet there seems no end in sight to the recurrence of these bothersome metal beasties. You'll be pleased to know that the mirror you gave me on the day of my wedding to my poor late darling, Elouise (May she rest in peace -- until next weekend when I shall resurrect her), has proven particularly useful. I am unsure whether or not I mentioned it to you before, but I have found that it allows me to raise an endless army of my dead ancestors. A funny little trinket, really. Quite charming.

Ah, but, that brings me to the point of my writing to you, dear aunt. I hope you don't mind, but I was compelled to raise the spirit of you dear father recently, for you know he was a brute of a man, and I have found him instrumental in keeping my little legs safe from the jaws of the metal beasties.
You once said that he had a temper on him. My my, you were not wrong. Only the other day, as we went in search of new artefacts, we traversed one of the 9 wormholes, and arrived in a planet, predominantly green and with little chance of winning this war, when what should happen? We were attacked by a group of unimaginative brutes. Can you imagine? Well, one was even so rude as to point at my bosom, and then made references to dairy farming! Great Uncle Zeke was furious! Before I knew it, I was being whisked this way and that through a sea of entrails. I am certainly glad I wore one of my red gowns that day! Oh-ho!

Anyway, lovely to hear from you. Duty calls, and all that guff.

Ok, so here's the first incarnation of my concept, warts and all (seeing as so many people are brave enough to post their wips).

Call it a pre-emptive strike. A lot to do still, but you can see the areas that have been worked up to better quality. I'll try and get more done tonite and post an update...

yeah, ride em cowgirl. Is she on a harness, or is she just using the massive amount of leg muscle to keep her erect. If she squeezes too hard, the thing she is riding on may pass out.

She uses summoning magic so she's riding the ghost of her dead great-uncle (A giant of a man don'tcha know? He's a legend among the Van Browden clan.) As such it stops the wee metal beasties touching her -- Not to mention she can travel fast over pretty much any kind of terrain. There's a saddle under that dress, but actually the dress part is fake, there's a harness under there with a seat built in. She can hop out and run around by herself when ever she wants to.

So Didn't exactly get loads done after the first post up. Too busy reading forums and chatting on MSN. Anyway Great-Dead-Uncle Van Browden got had a bit of work done on the face area. I'll try to be a bit more productive tomorrow night.

Interesting concept. The only thing I don't like is that the whole thing is very tall and not that wide. It looks a little tipsy. Maybe make the guy a little bigger?
