DWIII - 3D - Ghosty! - Destroyer of Worlds

There is no man, women or child in the universe that has not heard the tale of 'The Destroyer of Worlds' but I will tell it once more to put the grim reality into perspective.

Many eons ago, a being appeared on a planet not far from this one. It is said that the being was not human, nor animal but simply darkness. A darkness so black that it could engulf you and suck away all of your happiness.

It is said that the being devoured the planet and sucked its life-force dry, leaving a desolate wasteland of restless spirits waiting to enter the heavens.

The planet cannot be found in any history book or scroll. This would lead me to believe that the tale of the Destroyer of Worlds is simply a fairy tale.

But then I met a trader who claims that he saw the Destroyer of Worlds. He claimed and that it mimicked us; it tried to appear human and that it looked like an empty suit of armor. The armor was like nothing he had ever seen; a suit of twisted metal, dragon scales and something he had never seen before. He was particularly intrigued by its carry-bag.

The bag drew him towards it like a tornado. He felt compelled to see what was inside. The trader followed the strange being into a nearby forest where he saw the suit of armor bend down over a sapling hold a glass orb to it. The sapling began to wither and after a few seconds, it turned to dust. The being opened his carry bag and the trader saw what he yearned so much to see.

The bag harbored a bottomless vortex of darkness. It was like a raging storm as fierce as the eye of Jupiter that was calling out to him. 'Join us' it repeated, 'Join the true king of the Multi verse'.

The being placed the orb into the black vortex and it disappeared forever.

The trader was convinced that the Destroyed of Worlds sucked the sapling into the glass orb and banished it from this realm. He believed that the bieng had done the same to mystery planet from the tale.

The Destroyer of Worlds has appeared once more. This at the vortex to the world which harbors the ultimate weapon and, according to reports, has begun sucking the life-force from our enemies using it against the mechanical armies of the forbidden planet.

What are it's motives? And why does it fight on our side of the war? Never the less, the being is not our problem...for the time being.

Only sussed out a little...

The gaps in the armor (such as lower torso) will be black energy like the void walkers in WoW.

Head needs to be smaller first but the dude is going to be hunched over with smaller legs and longer arms...

This is all still very early conceptual work, so C&C is definately welcomed

Thanks Killadee...

Small update:

I am not happy with the arms... I am going to explore a different style or armor similar to that of the helmet soon. Right now I am going to jump into Maya and play around with what I already have.
