Speed Painting Challenge no. 71 arrives. starts now and ends on the 22nd of March, 2008, Saturday.

Topic: Strange City (Another place, another time).

Paint a cityscape/city scene having strange characteristics, regarding construction, planning etc. it can be futuristic, or from the past, uve to show something unique about the place, from your imagination. Its the design that will count, not necessarily an overly abstracted landscape, just like another place from other times. Its upto u to include whatever u like to, just be sure to reflect the theme strongly. the topic gives u a big area to play around...

ehh, this one didn't turn out the way I expected, but I guess I'll post it anyway. here's an example of an old city with a lot of unnecessary architecture.

Hello. Here is my thought. A mysterious virus killed everything living on Earth.
For this time I decided to do something realy fast. Spended time - 40 mins. Photoshop, Genius tablet.

My first time entering a 3dtotal competition. I saw the concept and had the image below in my head. I used Photoshop, using a mouse. it took me about 2 hours to do this picture.

Put another 20 minutes into it ,removing the tacky neon signs. Figured it will still look like a city without them ..
Oh ..and i also added a little move people on the "bridge"...
Thats landing me at about 2-3 hours + 20 minutes actual working time,
and about 2-3 days of thought process (+20 minutes!) ..
