Unhappy Help for newbie...

hello everyone.. im new here.. im studying 3d studio right now.. i have a long way to explorer... but im stuck.
i have one question..
I can create biped with character studio... i can apply and configure my biped with physique ... and moving all de bones... but "cant move the whole biped " i mean i tried in figure mode and biped mode... i tried moving the center of the biped.. i only can rotate the biped in the same place, and scale alll the bone.. but it seems that position Movement are disabled... ... and nothing.. i can move everything arms, foot, head.. etc.. but cant move the whole biped... to an other position than the default position,
im using 3d studio max 5.
someone know how to enable POSITION movements on the biped?...

thanks a lot anyway...

hmm if you are a newbie perhaps biped is not the best place to start.

however if you must move the biped after you've applied ik keys. you can make a new layer and then move the biped to its new location and then collapse the layer down. if you're using character studio 4 there is actually a move biped option which makes life much easier, if its 3 though you'll have to do the create layer move the center bip object set a key to its new location and then collapse that layer and it should stay at its new position with all its ik'ed keys relative to that new position.

good luck

If u r trying to move the whole biped then press "H" and select "Bip01"(it is biped's root) and try to move it
But if u want to animate it then search for it in this forum and u will find tens of related posts!!
