trabant
hello,
im starting a new project, i'm gonna model a Trabant car (my first carmodeling project )has anybody some links where to find blueprints (model nr.) and reference for this car? i dont know the exact type (yet), and i already got some photo's, this is gonna be a long project, unlike the locomotive (im still gonna add detail later). when i chose the trabant i wanted to make a car, but not a car that has been modeled over 20 times before, like most fast racing cars . also the car looks pretty funny yet its very old and has some history attached to it .here's one of the pictures i found ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

due...your grill is wrong, it has and X shaped pattern very different to the one in the photo, also I think the wheel arches are too flared out, keep the good work going....

yea...the grill is indeed different, but the wheel arches are not as flared as are your model has them.

Looking like a pretty solid start, can we see the wires? As for crits, the body flares around the turn signal lights are much smaller than they should be on your model. Looks like the bulge extents about 2-3 inches on either side. Beyond that, looking forwards to updates, keep up the good work.

I think the unsmoothed wire would be best. Nice update, good work with the logo. I notice that the hood line doesn't match the top of the grill very well quite yet, but other than that it's looking good.

here's a wire, most part have 2 iterations of turbosmooth,
also the hood still has to be tweaked indeed ![]() but eh, its my first car modeling project ![]() ![]() btw. the logo was done by tracing the logo using splines, and applying a bevel modifier i think the headlights and bumper are next ![]()

Wire looks pretty solid, I think the area around the headlight/turn signal could be improved though. It's a little too gridlike at the moment. I've done a paintover that I hope will help.
