Hey looks good! Definately got that Resident Evil thing going on, a little like my current project.

What is the story behind this image? Looks as if we have the viewpoint of a caged character?

Anyway, I like it. Good stuff.

On to the details: I like the shadow cast by the ominous creature at the far door, perhaps you could do a little more to bring it out?

Lighting: Seems good to me, I'm no expert though.

Texturing: Not sure if you could get a few dirt map details onto the top of the right wall? A different colour, maybe a water stain.

Composition: The bars are fine but I wonder if you should bring them a little closer to the camera?

Other than those few minor suggestions I think you've done a fine job.

I'd like to see what you could do with max or XSI.

Ill take those ideas into account, they sound good but i would like to leave it as it is as im getting rather bored of it because i spend so much time on it and im only a begginer to CGI.

I have 3DS MAX R3 but i havent a clue how to use it. i keep trying but i seem to get confused and give up for a while then i try again and do the same. i only have a AMD K6-2 500Mhz, 192MB RAM, Ge Force 2 AGP 32MB VRAM, Windows Me and a 20GB HDD. dont think there is any point in trying MAX yet before i upgrade whitch will be some time now. i think my computer is too slow to do anything with it, or is it. whats your spec?

It isnt a shodow of a monster on the floor, its a blood stain draged into the door way. Its one of the problems i have with having the picture so dark

The view is intended to be coming from a character behind the bars, but he/she isnt locked up, he/she has access to the rest of the building and can escape. but at the other side of the bars there is only a fire exit, but there could be anything behind there or there could even nothing

Story:-

The story is as the title says the opposite, See No Evil - Fear No Evil. You dont see anything evil like a monster or something, but you know there is something there because of the blood on the floor and walls and you could fear for your life if you was actualy there.

Hope i havent written too much

yeah i know what you mean, i am ready to move on to something else now, i think my scene is basically finished and I'd love to get on with something else.

Well, I think you've done a real good job, and should really put the effort into learning max or otherwise, it's far better software - once you get over the initial frustration of not being able to get the results you can at the moment with your software. Aftwards, though, you'll wonder how you got on before.

Well, I understand your aim a bit better now, I like the concept but still I think you could emphasise the blood stain. It does look a little like the shadow of a monster though, right?

Ah my spec, not too high: AMD Athlon 800, 1gig RAM, geforce2 32mb, one 40gig drive, one 20gig.

runs max fine up to about 20k polys, then gets -s-l-o-w- . .

so, what are you working on next?
