Morning Guys,

It's cool that you all want to start the voting off on your own but you should really wait for a Mod to kick off the Voting - especially as it's not intended to start until 8th May.

I would prefer for Voting to start, as planned, on the 8th May. This is our challenge schedule and this is also how our 2d challenge works, so it is best for us to have fixed dates so we can keep on top of both challenges. I really don't want to be annoying with this strict rule, but the deadlines are there because they fit in with our busy 3DTotal schedules so it would be really cool to have your support and we'll start the Voting off on the 8th.

Is everyone happy with that?

Thanks also everyone for posting well within the deadline. If it turns out that we need fewer days in future for the posting and voting then we will of course amend the deadline dates.

ok then i have a question:
why do we have to wait? we have to wait a week to post the exact same pic as before..and the treat is already open so it doesnt give you guys any extra work at all if we start earlier..we just have to wait longer till its processed right? and i already posted my votes wich wont change..so no use in removing them and putting them back later, right?

You wont have to remove the votes, but you'll just have to copy/paste them when the voting time starts. It wont cost you a dime

I understand that for schedule purposes the staff must keep the time strict, it makes sense when it comes to logistics and organizing the challenges time tables.

Thanks for your support DD and I hope everyone else will show theirs and post their votes when our deadlines say to do so. Some rules are meant to be bent and broken, but these are ones to be kept to, thank you.

To be honest, I'm simply not going to argue - these are just the rules which all challenges must have in place to make them work, so please read the guidelines and follow the rules that have been laid out. Thanks.

By the way, about voting if you're not a challenger: the rules do actually say that only people who take part in the challenge and the 3DTotal team can vote. By "taking part" I think it's okay to say that anyone who has commented in the WIP thread or given advice or shown some concepts but didn't get round to the final, is good to vote. The reason being: in the past there have been instances (no names!!) where people have got friends and family to set up accounts in attempts to boost their votes, so this is why we ask that voters are people who are already involved and taking part, so that the end results are fair.

Sound good?

Thanks Lynette, that was the reason to ask. I know I had seen somewhere that only people taking part will be allowed to vote.( And I think is better for a fair voting., i totally agree whit that rule).

So I wont vote

Only one more thing, really awesome works. I hope someday I will be able to participate with you(with such a similar lvl, I mean)

no worries, i know we've never been strict on voting before but I do think that making these competitions fair is important, so i think it's good to clarify this stuff.

by the way: i don't want to make the challenges "less fun" with all these rules - i just believe that, as long as we follow the guidelines then there will be no need for arguments and questions and complaints (etc.), just enjoying the topics and results. so i hope that's okay with you all.

oh and hope to see you in the Carnivorous Plant thread, pables

that rule makes perfect sence and i think its great that people took the time not only to think of it but also reinforce it. =) thats what a competition is al about ofc. And i didnt mean to start an argument, rather tried to save people time and i was curius of the results. thats all.
