a silly question!

This may seem like a silly question but here goes anyway.

What does 'render time' mean? im guessing this is the time it takes for you to set up all of the materials for each object and stuff is this right! If not tell me im an idiot here. If it is tell me for my peace of mind.

LOL. Render time is how long it takes to render a picture.
