Saving to cdr..

I've recently been putting my .max files onto cdr's to free up disc space and have encountered a problem. When I open these files from the cdr, the animation seems to be altered.

The files contain characters rigged to bipeds and it seems as though it may be the envelopes that have been altered. Although I have to say, I'm not certain if it's this or the actual biped animation.

Any ideas?
