Shinku
Finished another model, fully rigged including a face rig.
5700 tris, 3 texturemaps of 512x512 (though I could probably scale them down to 256x256 without much loss). Images ahoy! ![]() Front, Side ![]() Back ![]() Pose, inspired by a figurine (that I also based my model on). ![]() Face ![]() Another pose, showing the other side of Shinku. ![]() Some facial expressions. ![]() Shoes! One of the parts I was the most happy with (Because of the small ribbons~) This is my first rig, so I made sure to make it as thorough as possible. Everything's rigged down to the last little ribbon, and the face rig can make just about any expression. Thanks to Athey for a really helpful guide to facial rigging! Edit: For those wondering, yes, I've tried doing some simple animations but I'm horrible at animating. I have no idea what sort of animation I'm going for, nor do I have any idea how to achieve it once I get an idea. Hopefully I'll be able to scratch something together sometime and put it up on youtube. ...Unless some good animator out there wants to be my friend, that is. Fufufu. for animation, just start off by playing with the hands, or even the face.
If your in max, turn on the timeline, and then just start moving body parts around, after you move a part, slide the timeline indicator a few keyframes and then move that part some more. When your done, just slide the timeline indicator back and forth and watch as your character comes to life. |

she is amazingly cute.
as far as I've heard for animating, the only thing you can do is really just play around with moving the character until you are comfortable, and drawing from real life of course. youtube should prove useful. |

Thanks everyone. I have the knowledge of HOW to animate, I just don't know WHAT to animate and what limb moves what way etc. Guess I need to find some references to watch.
Djdude: I'm not sure what you're talking about when you're saying it looks 2D, but I guess it can't be that bad since it's a 3D representation of a 2D anime character :b Knut: En annen nordmann her på Threedy? Ikke verst, ikke verst. Kommentaren din betyr mye for meg, for jeg elsker stilen i Eternal Sonata og tenkte tilogmed over å skaffe meg en xbox kun for det spillet. Now, I wonder if I should do some other character or continue and do the rest of the Rozen Maiden.. Hrm... |
