Help with character studio

hey guys im trying to get a biped to carry a plate using both hands. I need to know how to attach the plate to the hands so tht the hands remain fixed to the plate while animating. I followd the biped tutorial of lifting the briefcase but with that i can only get one hand attachd, if i try attaching the other it wont work.
Also tried using the normal link tool but it wont work either.

please help!

cheers!

try using a constraint perhaps.

maybe position constraint or a look at constraint will solve your probs. i have not tried this with biped though, it does have some quirks so maybe it won't work out, but worth a try.

To do this follow these steps:
1-Go to the frame where u want the hand to start carrying the plate.
2-select the first hand then go to motion panel and locate "IK key Info" rollout and extend it and press :"set planted key" button
3- from the same rollout move the cursor down and select object and press the white arrow then select the plate
4- press "set planted key again!!
5- now move the plate and watch the hand goes wherever the plate goes
6- do the same thing to the other hand!!
