Excellent as always dude, you really do nail skin every time, great control over thickness and stretching, tons to learn from your sculpts every time.

Well. This is 5* work for sure, although thanks to certain members on this board, it's becoming a risk to give it any more as they seem to be dropping 1's as a way of countering it. Clearly they don't understand our rating system very well.
5* here is basically the only rating I'll ever give. I use it to denote work of a professional quality - something I believe should be viewed and learned from. This is one such case for sure. 5*. Drop a 1* or 2* on this thread at your peril. |

Hey Alex,
What's the intended use of objects like this? When you teach your students, are these anatomy demonstrations taught like studies in pencil/charcoal of the human form, as a fine artist may do. Or are they taught as usable high res models for films etc. I see a lot of students applying for junior or trainee jobs in the games/film industry with portfolios consisting entriely of untextured zbrush or mudbox sculpts. It certainly seems it's become a quick way to achieve what used to be a long end result, and fundementals are often bypassed, ignored and underestimated. Mant students lack any usable skills for the real jobs they will end up doing. I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts on this.

Makaveli-thank you! and you're right about the Nudity warning
Sathe-thank you! Sathe-thank you! HansKa-thank you! funkdelic-thnak you buddy! MonteCristo-3DT-thank you! JHarford- thank you! I am teaching Zbrush in a 3D school for 3 years , i have two classes there, traditional ( that include life drawing , and traditional clay sculpture) and there i try keep my focus just to teach human anatomy ,it include my digital class . many of my students got your first job later finished my classes. the students try keep the focus on traditional art and later spend some time on technical aspects ( The school offer too others classe with anothers teaches about techinical aspect ) i have see many modelers working with all 3d steps , render , texture, light ,enviroments , but without no one knowledge about human anatomy . As you said , just zbrush models dont will help no one to get a job in 3d bussines. it's just my opnion, but a traditional art background is a plus , and the more important thing is the artists behind the software. ![]() ![]() |
