Bathroom - Interior lightning
This is my last experiment in Luxology Modo 301. Model by Stoosarchitekten and www.3dallusion.com. Just a plain ranged radiosity.
Levels corrected in photoshop. Colors also balanced the same way, added a photoshop depth of field, some slight vignetting and a subtle diffuse blurring. Im very happy with the result, since its made with a very simple light setup, getting a nice look and feel with an ultra fast render time. Hope you like it ![]() Last edited by PAQUITO; 01-07-2008 at 10:15 PM.. |

Thanks for the comments
![]() My radiosity settings are very simple. I set it to 3 bounces and everything else at default, excepting then range for indirect illumination. See it in the screenshot. Its at zero by default. Just launch the preview window and tweak that value while you see how it affects the render. You will get the point very clearly. After that, there is a heavy modification in photoshop. You can see the "out of the box" render is very different from the final result. Feel free to ask whatever you need. About the DjDude comment, I assume youre talking about that the room looks like a doll house. I think that is because of the depth of field effect. You know, the more depth a scene has, it will look smaller. It has that visual effect, perhaps I should lower it. |

I think you have gone way too heavy on the post, it looks like a Tilt lense photo shoot, and the Blue bleeding is throwing it off for me.
I am only being harsh because you could remove these things and it would STILL look photoreal, I also notice some Black Clipping in the curtains and top towel rail. One other i notice is, why is the toilet seat half up? Its a really great scene it just hasn't been polished ![]()

You two are right. The scene is far from being finished. There is some black clipping due to the lack of optimization of the scene, since its a imported obj into lxo format, you know, flipped polys and all that classic stuff, materials not yet configured, etc...
What do you mean with "blue bleeding"? Im not english speaker. Could you throw some tips? I will try to improve the scene with all this comments. Thanks. |

I think the composition is really nice. Perhaps moving the camera down a bit so that stuff looks larger might help the small feeling. I think things are a bit too clean and a bit too shiny plastic looking.

Not too bad a render, but there is too much blue bleeding in for my taste.
