need some help with 3dsmax character.
i'm making a head in 3dsmax, right now i'm working on the mouth and the teeth. the teeth are made as one object and mouth (and rest of the head) is another as the picture shows. the best thing would probably be to make everything as one object, i won't get a smooth connection otherwise i guess. but the teeth got pretty much polygons and as you want to avoid triangles it would lead to more polys than needed also in the mouth and would be time-cinsuming to build. any suggestion how i could do it in a simple way?

That's how it should be so go on..
I mean the jaws should be a separate object and not combined with the head asone object! that will cause a headache!! ________ Launch Box Last edited by Net Admiral; 19-04-2011 at 08:52 PM.. |

mm I think they usually make the top and lower mouth interior as a part of the jaws so the intersection between the teeth and mouth won't be appreared!!

you could always sculpt it as one object and then detach it later. that would ensure that your smoothing boundaries were the same between two manifolds
