Captain Bonecrusher

Captain "bonecrusher" is a retro space pirate, a character for modeling/texturing demoreel, inspired the incredible work of the great master Katsuhiro Otomo and influence of Mario Alberti work in Redhand. Films like Madmax and the Starcraft videogame were in my mind.

I love pirate, I like Mad Max...and this one is cool!
I like all the model except the trousers: on the upper part of the leg they seem to be cubic, there's a hard edge on one side; I can see clearly in the first image. All other parts are smooth and well shaped, but this...
4* just for that part...

actually the modeling is really nice. so are the textures. the expression on the face bothers me though, it doesn't quiet look "bone crusher" to me. maybe that is his character... can't say... but yeah, really well done.
I'll rate it 4**** too....

Really cool. Only thing I don't like is the blue tribal paint over his eyes, they hide them too much so you lose some emotion from his face. The vein down his bicep looks way too harsh and really stands out too much. Also his expression is a little surprised rather than angry like his name would suggest. Other textures are fantastic though. 4 stars.
