link vertex to path?????

Hi folks, do you know if there is a way to constrain vertices to a path in max 5.1 ?

Linked x-form modifier is the answer .. create a dummy(or anything) and make it follow the path then from the object u want choose the vertices and apply a Linked X-form modifier and select the dummy!!!
