Did you scan it in yourself? If so, you need to scan it in with a higher DPI (Dots Per Inch). Your scanner manual should tell you how, as it's different with each one.

Good luck.

yeah, you need to scan it at higher res and you can mess with brightness and contrast to bring out the black lines

Maeby, you could go to the menu (on the top) Customize > Preferences > Viewports and click in "Configure Driver" and change the "Background texture size".

I hope i help

Yeah if you take it into photoshop you might be able to go over the lines and make it better.

Looks like Catwoman from the Batman series, the newer one that was on the WB. Might be able to find a better pic but I'm sure you already tried.

Might be easier to just redo it in photoshop using that one as a reference.

What? No! Vitor's got this sorted. I presume your pic appears nice and smooth in Photoshop? But in MAX it looks Kack, right? I've not used Heidi for a while but in Direct X and Open GL you can alter the background and texture resolution so you pic appears better. Go Customize > Preferences > Viewports and then configure driver. Window will pop up and you make sure you check 512 and 'Match Bitmap'. See attached pic.
