Thumbs up Opinions on low poly textures.

Hello there! We're developing an Indie Adventure game, and I would like to ask on people on the Threedy forum to comment on what would you change about the textures of those models just to get a good critique.

What do you think of this ones? (note, they were NOT modelled by me. I'm the texturer. But I also oversee quality and style in the game so, any modelling pointers are also good critique)

Do you like this character style? do you think It's well achieved? do they look good to you?

thanks for your critique! much appreciated.

Without giving a better idea of how the world that they will be in looks it's hard to say if they are right in terms of style, colour, vibrancy and so on. However, the textures look ok though could perhaps do with a little more detail in them, such as folds and some colour variation. This is particularly true of the last one.

If your intention is a very simple cartoon-style look to it, what you have (provided everything is similarly uniform in detail and scope) would probably suffice.

If you are going for a more "pixar-esque" cartoon style, it would definitely need another pass at finer detailing. Cloth folds, maybe some wear and tear, discolorations, seams and stitches. Perhaps some freckles on the second character. Imperfections that are not mirrored go a long ways towards believability since true symetry is not something that exists naturally.

seems like the characters mainly need more light and shadow in their clothing. The only place i see it now is on the apron the lady's wearing up top. Looks pretty good other than that.
