I didn't know you could do that in software ... I (well, my dad) soldered an extra "thingy" onto a geforce2 mx to convert it to a quadro2 years ago. That was fun

know if it's doable with the gtx 200 chips ?

Wayne, I've got a 9600 on my Quad system, and I can push Mudbox to about 8 million polys and keep it workable. How much does it go on your system with the 9800 GT?

Also, is there a way to fix jagged edges? Basically some sort of Antialiasing in mudbox?

The highest I've went was 74 million.. it still sculpted smoothly, although the file size was huge due to the polycount.

Not at the moment no, Dave has mentione dhtis (so I wont get wrong for saying lol), but there was AA planned but it couldn't be made bug free enough for release. So it probably a good bet it'll debut at some point.

I would sell my fiancee to be able to use Mudbox on a Mac (VM and dual boot don't count). Until that glorious day I'm stuck with stinky old zbrush. Can you Mudbox guys breath in my direction?

(not a troll. I love Autodesk and I really wish I could use mudbox)

before mudbox 2009, mudbox wasnt comparable to z brush but with this new one they have improved on the painting, its easier in mudbox than in z brush. wth more painting options I was surprised. mudbox also has a standard interface which shouldnt be a sellling point but because of the way things work in z brush. it is
