Blenders good, its free and open source, if you know how can compete with the big fellows like Maya and Max, has built in renderer, UVmapper, sculptor, animation, to name some of the stuff i can think of right now. Its pretty good, i modelled my Hopper in it, and i sculpted my pumpkin in it as well, as well as i super high poly orc head.

I have MudBox, but not yet learn to used the commands and shortcuts ... this is a problem to me .

i tried mudbox once, the demo, couldnt get it to work, had no idea how to use. Now, lets get back on topic, sculpting. I have got to download the Zbrush demo, gonna do that and have a go at sculpting the pumpkin again.
