At least 2 times a year I have to do one of this old alley images or I become unhappy
However, this time I used my new plugin "cobbleclone" (Betaversion, only for lightwave), to do the cobblestones in this image. Hope you like it, feel free to let me know what you think. Please let me know if you think its to dark. here a link to the beta thread of the plugin at newtek.com: http://www.newtek.com/forums/showthread.php?t=89143 |

The atmosphere is amazing. You could actually imagine being there. That ambiant fog makes the picture for me. Great work!

Powerful contrast and vertical stripes. Splendid! I agree with the earlier posts as well, the atmosphere is really crisp.
I'd suggest two critiques: 1. Were the gaps between cobblestones really that wide back then? It seems like they'd be a serious hazard, suggesting that they might have been slightly closer together. 2. The cart is rather simplistic compared to the rest of the scene, and it's breaking the realism created by the rest of this striking scene. Very nice work!!

A nice artwork!
I also like the mood, although I have to agree with 'Guy BlueSummers' concerning his critique. [Auch von mir, schöne Grüße aus Hamburg, nach Hamburg ] |

This reminds me of 'The Shambles' area of York. It's got a great atmospheric feel going for it, maybe the cobblestones are a bit too clean, but nice image.

Hey Sven. I always liked your works but as time goes by, i can t seem to think that your renders are not evolving in any manner. There is no global illumination, the models look low poly on some areas and the ground is way to simple.
Still, you are one of my favourite medieval 3d artists so don't think at my post as a bad intention.
