[3ds max 8] Viewport stupidity is driving me crazy
Every time I go to use Arc Rotate to view my models from different perspectives, 3ds max starts rendering everything in my viewport as just bounding boxes.
This is beyond irritating, because the entire point of rotating the camera is to see the objects - hard to do with they cease to be visible. ![]() Before Stupidity ![]() After Stupidity ![]() How do I fix it? Thank you. ![]() |

I know what a pain it can be when 3dsm does that and you don't know how to turn it off. By default, the hotkey for toggling that feature is 'o' (I think). You'll want to turn it on if the viewport is acting sluggish during rotate because it can speed things up while viewing big, complicated scenes.
However, for ordinary viewing, it's best left off. ![]()
