Modelling Showreel 08

Hey guys,

Could use some quick feedback on this before I mail it off on monday.

I have only had 2 days to render everything in here + cut it all together! (except the ipod transforming) So it's a bit of a rush job, with next week
being the last week of the semester, which doesn't help either

Ill probably have time for one more cut, but I have other work to get onto, so any tips/comments will be great!

Cheers

I`m impressed, you have an eye for detail that employers will appreciate.
There are a few GI artifacts on the car but that is a minor thing.
I would suggest a different soundtrack though..that one is pretty annoying
but yeah...excellent work

i agree about the music :/ there are a few little bits that need tweaking ie like his feet at the end jumping/moving off the background plate. but saying that the work itself is very good

Models are great but yeah, change the music!

As for the iPod transformer, it's too bad you added the blur effect. It would have been better IMO if we could better see the transformation, see how each piece moves and rotates separately. It's kinda hard to see how the iPod turns into a robot. The end piece is nice though. *thumbs up *

I like the blur effect on the ipod, but I agree with the others that music is distracting and overbearing. Camera match on that last shot is not looking good.

Cheers guys

Ill have another look around for some music. Also the ipod transformation animation is a bit dated now, about a year and a half old. I'm planning on rendering out a properly tracked animation but wont have time this weekend I contemplated not adding it, but I think it's still a strong piece.

Also the blur effect is only on the starting cut of the transformation, at the end its untouched.

Great Models Man!

Personnally I would change the "up & Down" camera movement in the "I Pod Bot" turn around.

Bye
