I think you can model like 15 min a day... until 90 minutes and it should be fine.. but I'm not judge

Yes vladoportos is correct as long as you stick to the time limit and all geometry is created from scratch at each interval you can model and come back to it as much as you like, providing you keep a good eye on your time limit.
I'm wondering weather to model a futuristic style scooter, I couldn't help think of the Maglev Monocycle Scooter, I love that huge fat back wheel style, I think I might do a scooter version homage to this fabulous vehicle, I love that dragsterlike appearance I think would look cool. I'd model it close to the ref pic below, keep the exhuasts and huge wheel and the seat backing, but then have it more traditional at the front rather than the body laying down. I'm thinking about the time limit here and what I could acheive. You'll be pleased either way though that I can't win so it'll just be for fun ![]() What do you think? CG.

As always nice topic and some excellent submissions, including starters.
Here is my first entry into this submission. I ran out of time so it is only about 30% complete but still gives the general idea what it is. Topic: Vespa S-RS Modelling Time: 90min Program: 3D Studio Max + VRay |

Pretty hot stuff, Darkboost. I think your nut/bolt details in the rims got lost in the render, though.

Guy BlueSummers-3DT: Thanks, this is from reducing the resolution and compressing the image to meet the challenge rules.

First SMC so take it ez
![]() I got home to do this and had "60 minutes" to do it, well, in my head. I'd forgotten the actual 90 minute deadline. Ah well..this is my 60 minute version. EDIT: ***Fixed to meet challenge requirements*** Prophet Last edited by prophet74; 24-11-2008 at 02:47 AM.. |

Prophet - you have 1024x768 pixles to show your model, why don´t you fill up the unused space with some lowpoly wireframes. *cough cough*

One more from me... I dare not render it cause modo is killing me with crashes... so just wire and smooth directly form application...
Modeling: something like 80 minutes... lost track to the end as I needed to reopen scene for 1000x ![]() Rendering: none Soft: modo, PS this time I think it look like scooter ( or torpedo on wheels ) |

justus_jonas & Adroit.jrk: Thanks men!
---------------------------------------------------- ClassicGamer-3DT / Marty_McFly-3DT: Both nice starters as always! Quinche: Nice entry, I was thinking of doing something Lego as well. Neil_F01: I love the show Mask and this T-Bobb turned out well, good luck! Aramor: A very interesting and creative submission, could probably have achieved the same result with only half the polies. Good luck man! brianBurke: Really nice and clean model, good work man. Psycho Mantis: (1.)Nice submission, very creative and well modelled. Good luck. (2.) Again very creative well modelled, it looks like something from Red Dwarf Again good luck with both entries.Darchand: I have only ever seen these on TV, would love to try one. Nice modelling and entry. vladoportos: (1.)I considered modelling this when I saw it in Google Images. Nice modelling and render. Good luck! (2.) Another nice entry, I get the feel of the space scooter they ride on the Marvin the Martian episode of Bugs Bunny. Good modelling and again good luck! Yvansteiner: Looks more like a bike than a scooter, would be nice to see a render as its hard to tell how well the mesh is and works without a render. Good luck. justus_jonas: My favorite entry so far, love the flames and the attitude it brings. Nice modelling and submission! Milan: Nice clean modelling and submission, good work. SR_6274: Really nice modelling and render, most kids at some point will own one of these. Good luck man! prophet74: You need to submit a wireframe for your entry to be valid. Nice work all the same. |
