Arrow Modeling a house: Project Empty Shell

Hey guys,

I am working on modeling my house from the inside out. Admittedly it has been quite a bit of time since I have seriously sat down to do some modeling. I am doing this for two reasons:

1. Work on my 3d modeling effeciency and try to remember all of those damn keyboard commands.
2. My wife and I are looking to try and sell our townhome anyways, so thought it might be a cool thing to market it with.

Here are some renders so far that I am working on. I was just going to keep updating on my portfolio site, but I really like this community, and appreciate/value the feedback presented.

Wish me luck!

Oh I should say I get some random times to work on this, 1hr here, 5hrs here and sometimes I go a couple days where I can't touch it. For instance today is my first go for a couple days, but I am knee deep in a toliet model.

http://www.wesburke.com for all other renders and I will try to duplicate postings here. If not more here actually.

W

Oh I wanted to include this one. This is a render from my downstairs office when I first started this project a couple weeks ago. Thought it might be cool to see what the first "okay, I think I might do this" thought hit me.

Had a few hours to model the toliets for the house today. I am finding coming from the game industry I am working in too low of poly and having to reside so much on meshsmooth, etc..

Or is this the case how it is completed for architectural rendering?

Anywho... here are some toilets...

Small update:

I had time to work on the fireplace and install more railing upstairs. More updates are on my site: http://www.wesburke.com/page_emptyshell.php But pretty much the same renders are below.

I have modeled more bathroom parts that I should have up shortly as well.

You're not cheap when it comes to detailing!
I agree with AutopsySoldier, the last render with no walls is great.

Bring'em updates!

Hey guys,

Thank you for comments. I fell of this project for a bit, but was able to spend some more time back on it.

Here are some object updates, and some textures hitting the kitchen. Now I am staring at a blank kitchen, and though my original intent was to not fill it up as I am working to do an interactive fly-through as if you were looking at a model home. But it just looks off.

I have a few more renderings at my site also. Next I am looking to texture the dish-washer, and then tweak the lighting and then I just realized I need to model in some form of light fixtures because the camera will be moving around.

More as I have it.
