AMAZiNG !
I finally received all pieces of my new computer
(P4G8X, Quadro 4 980XGL, 1Gb ram, etc.) and I did some tests to see how it performed in 3Ds Max. So I first tried it @ 3 000 000 polys without maxtreme and then with maxtreme I went up to 4 500 000 polys and the viewports were still relatively fluid ! It may be a useless post but I'm really happy with my new computer !

money money money, good thing artistry coems from the imagination and the only thing better systems gives you is more leeway with mistakes and over polyness,, better computers = better computers, i need to get some money

Maxtreme drivers are special drivers (like OpenGL) for Quadro cards.

It PC2100 (which speed is multiplied by 2 with dual-channel) It's pretty cheap Infineon ram, didn't have 300$ tu put on it...
