new robot model
Whenever I make something my Dad always bugs me to make something original. So I've decided to build a robot. I've been working on it for a few weeks now. The hardest part has been designing it. The man block figure thing is for scale. The diamond head thing is just a place holder. I'm only using reference pictures as inspiration, so everything is 100% original.

you know, your daddy is right!
![]() haha no, you learn from other people's originality. anyways.. I like the progress here, there are a couple of things you may want to reconsider though. the ankles for example. The robot is pretty big up top, so also probably very heavy, but it is standing on really thin ankles. further; Do the shoulderpads already have smoothing applied to them? because a nice curvy shoulder would probably look awesome. and what I personally dislike, (but does get jobs done easily) is when objects intersect, like some of your joints. see if you can integrate the two components. Awesome work; keep up this pace. |

The shoulder doesn't have the smoothing applied to it. I was originally not going to smooth it. I'm going to add some more elements to the shoulder pad. I'll think about how I can improve the ankles. The hands are the most complicated part so far. Any suggestions on them?
