Final Entry 28a Vehicle
DUE DATE: February 15th, 11:59 pm GMT - SUNDAY Final Pictures: Required In The Final Post (1 post per entry): - 1 x Winning pose shot. This image can only have "One" pose of your vehicle. No multiple shots or different angles. Just one! (Recommend image size – 1000pixels by 1000pixels) - 1 x Beauty shot of your vehicle. Feel free to put multiple angles of your vehicle or just one big version or your vehicle on this page. Even better, try to composite a nice art piece similar to the ones in the Winners' Gallery. Be careful how you do this though, simple is often better. It’s up to you. (Recommend image size – 1000pixels by 1000pixels) - 1 x wireframe shot of your vehicle. Feel free to put multiple wireframe shots or just one big wire frame shot on this page. It is up to you. Must have polycount included. (Recommend image size – 1000pixels by 1000pixels) - 1 x texture sheet that includes all your used sheets squeezed into "one" sheet. (Recommend image size – 1000pixels by 1000pixels) - Concept Sheet (Only if you have a concept) (Recommend image size – 1000pixels by 1000pixels) You must provide a screen grab of your wire frame with your poly count, with the actual model and all its parts selected. Please don’t Photoshop your Poly counter with a bogus count. Make sure you post all work in progress, including final poly counts and wire frames in the work in progress thread. Everyone who enters must vote, or your entry will be disqualified. DUE DATE: February 15th, 11:59 pm GMT - SUNDAY |

Here we are folks! All these shots are actually running in a game engine just screen-captured out. Was working long into the night last night to get this chap done. Had a blast with this (my first contest) and looking forward to many more, really feel like I've learned a lot. Cheers, Alex

Very nice entries so far everyone!! this is going to be hard to choose a winner, can't wait too see how many more finish! I really started to get wore out working on this contest so I'm pretty much out of juice but this is my final product. I did a little bit of a matte painting for my winning pose to help set the appropriate mood.

On this one I may have gotten a little carried away with rust. Oh well it works
![]() All of your entries are looking good and for everyone else I can't wait to see your final products. Good Luck Every One ![]() Edit: seeing how the tri count from the screen shot does show up well I will just say it... 18,663 triangles Last edited by Darchand; 13-02-2009 at 05:10 PM.. |

1st: McKronic - Very clean model, with great texturing the little specks of grime give it a more race feel since the vehicle is likely to be looked after so a little surface dirt adds realism.
2nd: Buzzy - Lots of technical detail pulled off very well, texture maps are crazy how did you remember where every part related to?! 3rd: BiG ToE-3DT - Interesting design, love the little touches of duct tape holding the parts together, as well as a little battle damage. Texture wise the erosion is well placed on realistic areas most likely to recieve it first. |

Good job on your model and texturing. You have managed to pull of a beautiful peice and based on the wip thread I know you have put in the work and have definately earned my vote for 1st place. 2. FrZnChAoS I have to admit I was torn between yours and BigToe's piece and honestly if I was less modest I would vote for mine in second. But I have picked yours for a level of detail and pure creativity. Nicely done. 3. BiG ToE-3DT I love the personality of your car. It turned out great even though I think it could use a bit more work in some area's. I would also like to crit the other entry's as part of this post so here it goes. Oh and this is in no way ranked. I also want to say I am being honest and you guys might not like me for that but remember this is just my opinion and I do think all work done looks wonderful. Buzzy: Great model but the textures just don't pop and do it for me. The leather seat and things like the tire look good but then you get a headlamp that just doesn't have the detail that it deserves and that carries on through out the model. I do think more could be done but I think it looks very nice and I wouldn't over do it. McKronic: I think you did very good on this one but I have to be honest why I didn't vote for yours. It is far too simple of a model. I can't help but think it is a model that could have easily been modeled in less than two hours. I think the texturing is very nice as well but again simplicity went too far and there were a lot of ways you could have gone but didn't for what ever reason. silverflame: Yours almost had my vote but again is shared the same problem the McKronic had. Far too simple. I do love a lot of your details and as is wouldn't change a thing well except one. The pinup might look better if it wasn't blue instead a actual flesh tone or something along those lines. Good work. Last edited by Darchand; 16-02-2009 at 03:22 AM.. |
