Beginner to rigging with a question?

Hello,

I have not done much rigging before and am currently undertaking a project for my portfolio were i would like simple characters to move to introduce different sections.

The character will look like morph. (see image)

I just wondered if anyone had any tutorials or resources to help me do this simple rigging in 3ds max. What is important tho is that i can move the thumb and finger section (hand) - something i have no experience whatsoever with.

any suggestions?

Kind Regards
