been a while since i've updated since i had to go home for easter week but got back to day and blasted away at the character, i'm happy with the character now so going to move onto the armour and extras over the next few days.
Been gathering inspiration from ancient persian and arabian patterns and armour designs so hope to implement these into it |

Quick update testing the normals, used a mixture of zmapper and xnormal cos xnormal decided to mess up the uv mapping locations on the main body but got it sorted. A few places need touching up tho so plan on doing that over the next few days

Lookin' real good so far! The armor came out very nicely, and the normal map looks pretty good from that angle. Some weird decisions in your sculpt (like the folds all going toward the belly button, and the many ruffles along the pecs), but they lend your guy some unique-ness. Normal body anatomy doesn't apply here, I think; he's all mystical and whatnot. The style suits him

Hrm... those colors in the render seem to be obscuring most of your detail work. you might need to tone down the saturation on everything a bit, or add some substantial specular highlights.

Here are the final images just wanted to check if anythings missing, they're scaled down to fit the upload reqs here the finals are higher quality, also text is just paster below due to 5 image upload limit
Text: The Djinn, a creature of pure malice brought forth by a rare sect of monks. The monks train for years honing their perception and mental abilities in an attempt to control these hulk monstrosities. Upon entering the sacred lanterns the creatures are invoked, binding the lives of the two together until death. Silently these cumbersome, ethereal warriors float over the battle field towering over cities and their enemies, swinging their mighty weapon above their heads, striking fear into all those that witness it. The monk forcing their will through the unbreakable link can implant target suggestions to the Djinn, yet is never really in control of this runaway disaster. It is the monk who suffers most, sealed within the lamp; he is helpless to act directly and must witness the carnage that unfolds before them, often sending them mad. The finale comes when the battle is won, in order to sever the link and return the Djinn to the dark dank depths of malice, the monk must make the ultimate sacrifice by killing himself. |

Looks pretty good. Nice back story.
Looks like you've got everything covered, but its been awhile since I've read the brief. Only comment I've got, is that the pedestal is missing a disco ball hanging overhead. Got a bit funky with that floor aye? ![]()

Everything looks great. I'm not too hot on the background color, I think it's a teensy bit distracting.

I figured that much, it was more the glow/bloom look that was giving me the saturday night fever vibe.
