Stealing your polygons!

BiG ToE-3DT - Good deal.
With my thread named and thumbnail up, I'm officially in now. ![]() Agent-X - I'd love to have the mouth able to be opened, but I'm afraid its probably not in the cards this time around. With the teeth the way they are, I'd almost have to model them individually or they'd never close right and I don't think all that is gonna fit the budget given the amount of them. We'll see tho, once I get the high mostly finished, and bang out the low poly, maybe I'll have some polys enough left for a working mouth. In which case, it shouldn't be that hard to work in. ![]() Joseph Pomeisl - "Everyone needs pants" ...I see...haha, words to live by I reckon.

Indeed. Maybe alphas would work for the teeth? But probably not very necessary to have function - only making still shots you know. But a growling, screaming look would suit this guy well.

...now with more fat
Joseph Pomeisl - Yeah, I though about alphas, but that seemed kinda dodgy for teeth on a 10k model.
chris_solo - Thanks for the support. Does that mean I can be in the LW club then?Smallish update, been real slow going the last couple days, trying to sort out the body, going with something fatter than before. The newer head and tail seemed to bulky for the skinny body from before. Anyway, still carrying on the charade that I'm gonna finish....

Man, lotta detail in that tail, lookin good. I might check the proportions
in the body to make his silo a little stronger. |

...now with something resembling hands?
polysmooth - Thanks, glad your appreciate the details in it. Yeah, I murdered my silhouette when I went to the tail/back thing. Kind hoping at this point that it works out in the end, we'll see. I've give the body a proportions a check tho for sure, hopefully I've not made too big of a mess of things.
Novian - Thanks. ![]() s..t..i..l..l......g..o..i..n..g.......... ![]() [got sick of looking at grey polygons]

Awesome hands man. I realy like the webbing. HIs thumb looks broken somehow. I think its the tendon or whatever, its at a different angle. Can probably be fixed with the rig later on. Just caught my eye, sorry.
Keep up the good work Cheers~ P.S. Thanks for your help.

Yeh, that thumbs at the wrong angle relative to the hand, I was having trouble getting the webbing on there so I cheated with it. A bit too much tho I think.
Also, all the fingers have one less joint than ours, which buggered up the thumb some as well. ![]()

Keep it up man! This is great.
It takes some real gonads to do such a complex, hi-poly, organic creature with polymodelling! Any sane person would have just sculpted it. Or used Nurbs (or would that qualify them as even more insane?). I love the little pot belly. Adds more character. |

Yeah, the ripped abs just weren't doin it...You should be able to finish - just don't try so hard
I like how the skin is covering the bones - oh wait, that's how that goes now isn't it? The claws are cool... |

Your model has sort of a cartoon look to it. It's amazing how smooth your details look. Keep up the good work.

Hehe, I bet you got a big surprise for us on the next update, you plan on taking this to zbrush or mudbox and sculpt the crap out of it right? Looking good so far anyways. Keep going.

...now with more...polygons!
BiG ToE-3DT - Yeah, that's kinda what I'd figured on doing, gonna be a couple other things that get corrected that way as well I think.
Buzzy - Can't say whether some NURBS would be better or worse, never used them. Thanks, Yep, all polymodeled. subpatched, and of course, nothing but quads here. LW's magnet tool has been a god-send for most of this. He needed the belly I thought, he's kinda been putting on some weight as I go.Joseph Pomeisl - LOL, yeah, I fudged a lot of anatomy, there's certainly a good deal of pseudo and wonky anatomy, but I do believe, most of the time anyway, I got the skin covering the bone part right....I hope. Yeah, I made his mouth bigger, figured his stomach should get bigger as well. Sebiomegas - Thanks, glad you appreciate the work that's gone into it. ![]() Agent-X - Nope, no big surprises here I'm afraid. I don't do much sculpting, don't have the resources to push those kind of polys counts. Will probably, if I get a chance, run it thru Blender's sculpt tool for some adjustments, and maybe one or two passes worth of detail if my computer can handle even that much. I think I'm on the right track. Just gotta do the "stuffing" [where the spikes come out of the top, the horns out of the head, and the tail out of the back] now, some minor touch ups here and there when I've got some fresher eyes, and I can probably just about move on to the lo-po. Shame there's so much bogus anatomy in there. ...off to bed for me now.... ![]()
