Yrt- Living in a mountain city whose environment allows it to serve as one of the last remaining sanctuaries to the Norms, Yrt is the young son of a powerful Invoker. His father was a part of the Sentinels of the Frost, a sect of invokers that watched over the holy fortress and its inhabitants. Frustrated by their inability to effectively attack the fortress, the demon horde carried out a brutal and unrelenting campaign, only having been beaten into retreat as the last member of the Sentinels of the Frost fell.

The demons are already regrouping en masse. With his knowledge of controlling the mountain elements passed down from his father, Yrt stands as the lone defender of the mountain fortress, the last Sentinel of the Frost, but when strength is limited only by imagination, conviction and rage, a child has no equal.

Concepting was never my strong suit. Upper left would be the invoker, a little mountain boy, sitting on the shoulder of his ice golem. Upper right is an undead abomination that uses its deformed arm to heavily whip its enemies. Bottom left is a quicky for a demon lord, a demoness inside her living war carriage. Still can't decide between invoker and demon lord.

Yeah, third one sounds really cool. There's gonna be a lot of entries like the first one it seems, the third is much more creative.

Little update to the demon lord of death. The war carriage consumes the bodies of it's victims to supply blood to the embryonic chamber of the demoness lord it carries to battle. I think I also want to do a refinement of the invoker before I pick which way to go. I've seen there are alot of gorilla-like concepts, I just am very drawn to the idea of using the innocence and imagination of a child to combat to pure evil of the demon horde

To me the first concept looked like a "pregnant" creature, with some sort of female "embryo" inside. I got the impression it was gestating a new demonic creature ( I thought you were going to make some king of wicked umbilical cord of some sort). The last concept seems more simple, just like a translucent stomach with remains inside feeding the embryo. mmm I dont know, just my opinion but the one inside should feed the bigger one not the other way around still I believe it is a very original idea. good job

feel like I'm getting a hand on Alchemy. Here's a more 'refined' version of my invoker mountain child and his ice golem. Still having trouble deciding, I do feel like the demon is more original, but for some reason the invoker keeps appealing to me

I'd say that the third idea is the coolest and most original. Though the first idea would be quite cool too, a classic.

Back to what Ichi said, do you think it would be better for the demon lord if the figure in the middle was an embryo of a demoness that feeds on the corpses the large monster consumes, or vice versa where the figure was the demons victims that were visible in it's stomach? And if it was an embryo, would it look cooler of the ground up remains rained into the sac over the demoness, or would it look creepier with some weird unholy umbilical cord?

I really like the ice golem with the child. A lot of really nice design possibilities there. Totally could bring up memories of the Iron Giant, which I think a lot of people would favorably connect with.
