Falling with Style

Thanks for the comments! I'm retopologizing in Zbrush, and it's a little cumbersome. Is there any way to take the model into max, retopologize, then bring in the new model into Zbrush and put the high res detail back on?
Also, another Zbrush question, how can I customize my interface in Zbrush to have most of the brush types on the left with sliders for Z intensity(image attached). I know how to drag and drop custom interface elements, but where do I drag them from. I can get brushes with thumbnail, but not just names and sliders. Any help would be great, Thanks |

Unfortunately, I'm in the "I just want to finish mode". I've been putting this off and now I need to put in many hours. I'll be leaving on Friday morning away from my computer for two weeks. So... I'm going to try and throw this together tonight, Wednesday, & Thursday.
The only thing I have left is: Retopologize and bake normals for rest of pieces textures build & texture platform pose? render... Should go smoother now that I know how to use the ProjectAll button... and that's it... wish me luck... Last edited by VersionThirst; 06-05-2009 at 01:34 PM.. |

I might actually pull this off... Normals seemed to transfer alright. Texturing tomorrow. Last edited by VersionThirst; 06-05-2009 at 01:35 PM.. |

Hate to be the bearer of bad [?] news, but the deadline's not until the 18th now apparently, hope you didn't have to rush too much.
Do we get to see your final images, or do we have to wait? Looks like you were doing pretty well, going from your last image. Certainly does appear the normal maps transfered well enough. Blades are looking nice and ******, hope you splashed some of that blood around the rest of him. Anyway congrats on completion, you've got a pretty cool lookin' and unique beast there. ![]()

The head is a bit thin, doesn't really fit with the bulk of the rest of the monster. You can probably get away with just turning on soft selection and pulling his cheeks out a bit. Just make sure your preserve mapping is on. He looks go besides that.
Also about the zbrush UI, that was the old pre 3.1 update interface. You can probably write a macro script to get it back but its going to be more trouble then its worth. You can assign your brushs to the 1-9 keys it works a lot better if you ask me. |

Warlock 279 - Thanks for the kind words. I had to finish last night because I don't have any time today to work on it, and I'll be away from my computer for the next two weeks. Shouldn't have put it off til the end, but I'm glad I actually finished this time. And I really should have splashed some more blood around, completely forgot as I was texturing, oh well.
DeadlyFreeze - Thanks for the tip, already submitted though, I do agree that the beast's face is a little thin though. Thanks for the Zbrush UI tip though, will save me lots of headaches. Here are the submitted images (smaller file size though): |
