Im impressed mostly by your (obvious) knowledge of anatomy. im curious, are you an owner of the book "Dynamic Anatomy" by Burne Hogarth ? ![]()

cool stuff! The anotomy is right on. Maybe the head is a bit small for a young boy?

Stealing your polygons!

Looking good, I think you nailed the proportions, and a beautiful sculpt. I like how you're playing up certain features to make him look more like a demon. Nice work.

Nice really nicely done, he looks a bit creepy, not the kind of "kid" I would like to meet in a dark alley, not even a well lit alley.
I really like the blue mixed with the skin colour I hope you will keep that. |

Thanks for all the feedback.
Holo - I have a few anatomy books, none of which I have really read, but Dynamic Anatomy is not one of them. Actually my favorite anatomy resource is nothing more than a bunch of handouts I got at school. roel - Not quite sure if I'm going for a young boy. He's definitely in his youth, but I haven't a clue how old he is. It's ambiguous, but that's what I'm going for. redonix76 - The definition definitely makes him look older, but I'm viewing it as a tradeoff of sorts. On one hand, it takes away some of the youth, but on the other it makes him more intimidating, stylized, and demon like. Warlock 279 -Think I got lucky with the proportions, usually it's a big struggle for me. mr_carl - I plan on having some blue like that on the final model, either from the SSS, or through the glowing xray hand and other areas I'm planning. |

Wow, nice sculpt. The forms don't really disturb the overall silhouette too much either, which should make a good lowPoly/Bake. Looking forward to seeing more.

If I read your concept correctly, you're planning on see-through, glowing forearms. If that's the case 1) awesome 2) how are planning on pulling that off? Really nice character.

All I need is a transparency map to cut out where I want the see-through parts to start and the SSS to end. A simple ramp shader should be able to give me a see-through like effect where the silhouette is still visible but gets less opaque towards the center. I plan on modeling any visible bones inside (which will glow). Right now I'm set on doing this to at least one hand and forearm. Possibly more, like parts of the chest and legs all depending on how many polys I have left. Think I could use it as a way to break the symmetry as well. I also am thinking about making veins visible. |

I thought it was cool before, but doing the transparent thing just makes this 10X cooler.
