Thanks Buzzy and discmage for the comments! I will try to mix the red eye from the first to this, maybe it will look cool
![]() I'm at 8,214 tris so far. I'm doing the shoulders right now. I think it will be complete at sculpting, because i was thinking on a head there. Maybe a mechanic on the right, and a demon to the left. Or a monkey head to both sides I would like to know what do you think about the mace, because right now i don't know what to think![]() I'm going to drop the armor on the arm, because its use a lot of tris, and its.. crap i like that style much better on the leg. I'll also modify the chest piece, with something more extreme.I was thinking that a nice tail with some brutal armor could improve the whole model. Considering, that i have ~1800 tris left, and probably will have more, after remodeling the arm pieces. Anyway, would like to know what do you think! |

not sure about the tail idea...if he were hunched over due to his size, could resolve the need/want of a tail.

I think you are right.. i just tried it with a basic model, and it didn't look as cool as i expected it to be. Thanks for the reply!
I was thinking of another mace.. I think i'll do some concept, before moving forward. I'm with the first mace idea right know, just need to do some retouch on it. what do you think? |

I think Joseph's right, some bend in that torso would add a sense of weight and solidify the silhouette a bit. I'm like the original mace, the swirly one, more.
If you're looking to change it up a bit, how about making it a little more pointed at top, so it can be stuck into an enemy, then given a good hard twist for added damage? Looks pretty good so far.

Thanks for the ideas Warlock 279! I'm going to try all of them
I'm pretty angry at my self, because the ideas just don't came! I'm shocked if i look at other people's work.. usually its inspires me to do it better, but this time i'm just paralyzed. Something is missing from the model right now, and i don't want to finish it if i'm not confident with it almost fully ![]() Anyway, thanks again, will post the new images ASAP. |

Yeah, i hope both of us will manage to get funky in time
It's war out there, and i just at the same part of the progress, when yesterday... So I heard about this alchemy thing when the war started, but i didn't thought of using it then.. today i told myself, that if i'm in trouble, it wouldn't be worse if i try out that program. It's really nice its sad, that i didn't try out that at the start. Next time, i'll check out new programs as soon as i hear about it I think, that practicing with it could help me out. I'll post the new progress tomorrow. |

Here is the latest progress. 9,944 tris so far. I think i'll try to change the chest piece a bit, and save some tris from the arm. And also, i've modelled the monkey head, but the helmet hides it. So i could delete the helm, or the head. Don't know what to pick
maybe the head with the promised red eye goggles will do it.Added a nice flame thrower, for mid range combat. let me know what you think! |

Hey guys! Its been a long time, since i posted here. I made some progress, here is where i'm right now. I started doing the uvw map, i think i'll be able to finish this in time.
The two box from the gun is for the ammo, i'll bend it after uvwing it. The weapon is a flamethrower and a machine gun in one. The two thingy at the shoulders are liquid "poison" which will be release with the flame, so the burned skin will be poisoned immediately. The machine gun is for the mechanic units i think this weapon counts as one, so i'm good in norm category. The model is 9964 tris now, and i'll do a paint over, to see which colors will fit the Destruction Unit of Monkeys. What do you think? |

You know, I'm liking what you've got as far as the weapons go, but I've got a suggestion none-the less for them. Since you've got a bit of a cartoony look going now, why not push that angle a little more, consolidate some of those tanks, into one ridiculously large one. Something about 2/3 of his overall size. I think it'd suit the giant guns better as well.
Also, if you do go the cartoony route, since times getting short, you could probably skip the whole highpoly--->normal map route [if you were going to go that way] and rock out with just a wicked stylized color/diffuse map. Anyway, just thought I'd throw that out. You're models looking good, and should be pretty cool no matter which direction you go with it. ![]()

Thanks miycko and Warlock 279! I'm glad you like it!
I'll increase the two tanks size, its a nice idea! Yeah, I aimed for cartoon like effects at the start, and i think i'll stick to it. I just have to find out how to do it properly, to keep the cartoon style, but keep the serious killing machine feeling too ![]() |

hey guys! its been a long time again
i've finished the idea, and i submitted my entry on the site already. I would like to know, what you think about it. I'm not confident 100%, because i finished it in some kind of a rush, so its not as detailed as i wanted it to be... I hope, that you like it! I'm gonna slept for a while, because i was awake to finish this for 26 hour ![]() |

this guy is great! have you ever seen the game Silverfall? It's like if that game and Warhammer decided to have a love child, this character could be from that game! very sweet style, and those tanks MAKE this design, the silhouette is very interesting from the back. (not that any of his victims will ever get to see that angle.)
great work.
