Aztec Pyramid
Hello people,
I just finished my rendering "Aztec Pyramid". I really like the history of these people and their arquitecture, it's really incredible. So I would like to be part of the history making this rendering ;-) I used 3d Max and Vray with some postproduction in Photoshop. I hope you like it!. Thanks |

Looks great.. Good modeling and texturing,
But, there is always a but.. The grass is too clean around the pyramid.. Try to give it a more jungle look... More plants and different types of grass... After that great work.. Keep it up.. Greetz and regards, Novak

nice, love aztec
![]() I think the big problem is: your pyramid is situated in a desert like the one in Teotihuacan you vegetation in from the jungle (Temple of the Sun in Chiapas, mayan) So just take a decision I think: put more moss, add some rain/water damages on the temple for a jungle mood. It is far too clean for ruins in jungle Or remove the vegetation and put a desert Or maybe it is a new temple, really clean, so add some aztec life in your scene. have you used a package of vegetation/tree?? (really interested by this kind of thing) |

It sure looks nice, but I agree that you have to work on the jungle look. Right now, it doesnt give me the Aztec feeling (whatever an Aztec feeling may be
) |

I agree with all the other points mentioned, but the only thing that really stands out at the moment for me is the stone texture applied to the main Aztec building is looking repetitive to me, try adding overlay masks of ruined section, dirt maps especially where the vegetation get more intense this will add much more realism. Nothing in our world is 100% perfect and it's those little imperfections and attentions to details that can really make your work shine.
I love the lighting and the main texture work is outstanding, the vegetation is complex and realistic and overall a really great theme and look to the render. Thanks for sharing. Kind Regards CG.
