DWIV - 3D - Darkmonk - Ukobach
Hi guys,
im not the best at concept art but since its one of the final images needed here is a quick concept to give the rough idea of what im aiming for, ill be making most of it up as i sculpt though as im too lazy to draw it all out first :P Its going to be some kind of lava demon/dragon i want the body to look like rock with flames and lava flowing through the cracks, i might also give him some kind of pet/servant that floats around beside him but im still thinking about that just now. The head is still very rough, just playing around with the overall look Character Name:- Ukobach Character class:- Demon lord |

Hi! Nice work so far, i didn't see too many dragon like creatures. I like the idea, reminds me one of the creatures in lord of the ring. The one that felt off the bridge in the first one.. i think.
I might add, that bringing the eyes, and the horns closer together in the front view would make him look more evil, or brute ![]() Anyway, i like your entry, will check back later. |

wellcome mate! you don't have much time left, so get busy!
I like your entry as well, although you'd need more teeth...he kinda looks like my good old cat before he died...poor fellow had more ears than teeth. Anyways, keep working on it! ....aaaaand make the ears not that sad-doggy-like ![]() keep it up! edit:IMO |

Very nice clean start to the sculpting.
Front on i think their could be more angle on the top of the head, its looking a bit flat and its taking away from his anger and giving him a slightly tired look.

hi guys, thanks for the comments,
Cordero:- The Balrog is the creature from the lord of the rings and that is exactly the kind of look i want to try and achieve with loads of flames surrounding the body etc.. i agree about the eyes, will try some variations and post to see what everyone prefers ![]() kravo:- LOL, Dont worry ive not added teeth yet, those are just some external tusks coming out from the side of his mouth, the teeth will get added shortly. Yeah the ears are a bit poor at the moment, going to play around with them a little. Sathe:- good point about the head, ill see if i can adjust it for the next update, Im just blocking out the body today to get an overall feel to the whole creature but once its blocked out ill get straight back onto the head ![]() thanks guys |

hi,
couple of small updates, i have decided to change the overall look of the demons skin, before i was going to have a hard surfaced rock like creature but now i am going to have a mixture of streached torn skin and bone. The body is still very rough and ill hopefully get time this week to finish off the basic details. Have also done a quick shader test in Unreal just to get an idea of what kind of details you will see, because i am going for a very dark skin with bright fire coming out of tears and vents i dont think i need to have as much surface datail on the creature ![]() |
