Werewolf
Been a while since I posted in the wip section,
This is a new character i am working on for a project. It will end up being a werewolf but with a still close to human body morphology. Hair will be done in XSI with XSI hair This is the second male character I am working on. the base meshes were made with XSI and detailing now in Zbrush. this is level 2 subdivisions on the different pieces so still some detailing left but thought I d should get some comments and crits on this one ![]() thanks for watching Cheers Jozef ps: more images can be found here: http://portfolio.caveman-digital.com/wip/ Last edited by The_Caveman; 27-04-2009 at 04:18 PM.. |

Nice anatomy work, great overall shapes but alot of artifacts from the Z-brushing at this stage, uneven surface on abs and so forth. I think a more defined trapezius area would help sell the back and make the charachter look more aggressive. The area just below the ****** looks somewhat off, like it's to sharp. and his tighs looks a little thin in front view given his bulky torso and muscle definition, altough it's quite realistic since many people who pump weights neglect their legs ;D

Thanks Tjakalen for those tips, I think that maybe if I move his sides in a bit above his waist this should fix the problem with the thin thighs?
But will give all those modifcations a shot, should have an update tomorrow. Thanks again Cheers Jozef |

one more for today
First fur test. No texture map painted yet, no real brushing on the Torso either but like how the arms look. Brushing hair and Texturing the hair will be the next step but I am somewhat happy with how these turned out so far. ![]() |

Tweaked the lighting and tweaked the fur as well. still some work left on it.
the short hair on his butt is where his jeans will be so no need to put hair down there thanks for viewing Cheers Jozef ![]() ![]() |

Thought I d post the first steps on the head
![]() cheers Jozef ![]() EDIT: Thought I d update the post rather then making a new one. this is after three hours of sculpting work. The next step is fixing the neck and some stuff on the ears before going back to some more detailing in the brows and the rest of his face Cheers again Jozef ![]() Last edited by The_Caveman; 15-04-2009 at 09:33 PM.. Updated the teeth, the flesh around the teeth as well as the skinshader. Some more detailing on the skin going on right now before going back to tweaking the beard some more. Enjoy Cheers Jozef ![]() Last edited by The_Caveman; 17-04-2009 at 07:04 PM.. |

one more for today.
Still fixing stuff that bug me when I look at it. Still not happy with the teeth/flesh around the teeth so gonna give it another try tomorrow same for the mouth something still bugging me there. might be the smoothed out details I am getting from the Displacement map. any ideas on how to fix that? fixed the bridge of the nose and the width of the nose as well. some fixes in the eyebrows too. Added in some more hair around the ears still needs some brushing. got rid of his suntan too. Was wondering if I should keep him bold or not. if you have suggestions I'd be more then happy to hear them cheers Jozef ![]() |
