Joseph: Hey, that's a really accurate replica, you've got your proportions and your expression pretty much nailed. What I feel in it is a lack of skin details, even if you're a young person with smooth features.
gumby: Keep it up, the mouth and chin are right where they should be. The nose could be a bit thicker toward the top, so you might want to watch that area. mafida: Come on, the reference is actually your sculpted head with textures and a light system. It's too accurate, man. Don't make me get my mod-guns. ![]()

Joseph - Good one. Looks like you! Perhaps you could define the browridge a bit. And bring down the nose edge a bit.
Mafida - spot ****** on dude!

i think these are great, and actually, i've been thinking that self portraits by artists have not always been exact representations of themselves, but sometimes they can be more expressive. i'm also thinking stylised self portraits might be fun for those who aren't too keen on realistic sculpting? just trying to get more people involved - looking forward to seeing more

Inspiring subject for sculpting. I'll try to sculpt something out of my humble ugliness.
Hardtrack: Good work mate. Pomeisl: Nice pose and good sculpting! Gumby666: You look very cool. Nice start. Mafida: Great sculpt. I am kinda scared thou. (Plz don't hurt me!)

Hey, welcome aboard, Companion Cube. That's a great result with your sculpt. It looks a lot like you, and you've got a lot of nice crisp details without aging you ( which I find to be the subtle holy grail of sculpting young characters ).

Thanks everyone. I hear you Freespace and you are right. Lot of good work by everyone who has entered.
Lynette: allowing stylization would kinda turn it into something to similar to the last one. If one's afraid to show their ugly mug in all it's glory then one just doesn't enter. Seems we all have the same thoughts about our appearance and we worried not. CHAO5: too perty for this grow a nasty beard or something. |
