DWIV-3D-Bladeflush-Malaphar
I'm going to try and see if I have enough time to finish my Demon lord character Malaphar. Here is my concept and base mesh so far.

I like the proportions, although his feet and shins seems a little thin. Beef those up a tad and I think you have a pretty good base.
Hise wrists also seem a little 'long' if you know what I mean. the top part seems to extend a fair bit. maybe tighten that up?

NO, make then skinnier and shorter, do the Mike Mignola early hellboy look, little tiny skinny legs with a beefy upperbody, style points to the max if you do. I'd thicken the horns and twist them all up funky though. Even though they loop under the arms they just don't pop, they need more.

Here's where I'm at as of now. Everything is still in the rough stage but I'm getting to the details soon. I'm thinking he either needs some armor or some sweet body disfigurements. Horns are coming soon.

Lovely little beef cake he is, one thing, what ever u do dont wrap his horns under his armpits! :P Or he'd puncture his own ribs when looking left or right.

the horns are fading into his head, they need to be bigger, or at least have more going for them. So they can stand out.

That's looking great. Excellent work on the sculpt.
I think you could probably push that detailing you have on the spine/triceps/forearms into the legs somewhere, doesn't need to be much, but a little somewhere would help tie the whole thing together just a bit more I think. Also BigToe Makes an excellent point. Beefing up those horns just a little more would help, Right now they're really close to the head, if you "grew" them out just a little more, they'd break the silhouette better. No need to get carried away with them tho, I like that they're pretty small, especially since most people opted for the massive overgrown horn route. Good stuff, can't wait to see more!

Thanks for the replies and comments! Yeah I need to adjust his horns a bit and add some detail everywhere really. It's hard to find the time to work on this when you're not in the business. Hey Washka, your work is first class and the one to beat so far I think. Good job!
