the portrait looks much better. hey, is that my plant friend? im trying just to do some sketches and drawings so i could post up my own thread, but the eraser side of my wacom pen just crappedout. keep em coming tho!

Hmm for some reason the lightning of the "the base113 project, code name "Proteus" feels a bit plain.. only the very bottom of the tree is a bit dark on the left.. plus, it just disappears in the ground, a tree splits up at the ground, widens if you want to call it like that. The roots ar right below the surface... Hope you can use this info when you'll draw some trees next time

PS: on the portrait, I think it goes wrong the with shading right under the bottomlip.. Maby get rid of the white line for a try?

Thanks flou but these are alien trees - this is all happening on othr planet. Those trees have no ramification in the roots, they are more like a carrot with one streight root digging deep into the soil for minerals and water (or any alternative nutrient) and maybe some secondary small root digging on the sides. They have no leafs and no coronas. They look more like mushrooms to the top, with luminouse globes as buds. And they are darker to the soil as the light is weaker near the ground and this way the perspective and volume is better represented. Thank you for your input.

Avatar-3DT you make amazing drawings! It's great to see how you put insane ammount of details in your art, I really respect it. You sure are gifted with pencils!

Great to hear that you can also draw straight from the mind, I thin I really envy as I'm never able to make my thoughts visual (simply lack the skills). Only got to page 50 so far, will look into page 50 - 106 later, I bet it's well worth it, and it's great to look at your artwork =)

Whoa! Hey, don't get upset. Yeah, other people have posted on this thread, but it would just be alot cooler if you had your own thread. Does that make sense? That way, you can post all of your artwork on there. And you can have links to it in your signature and everything
