I like your new stuff, they're colorful and detailed. The best ones are your own ideas though such as the Ettin.

jd, I try my friend. But where have you dissapeared lately?
Illegal- yeap, I took care of the main races, some of the architecture (aldo I would have like to really go wild and alienish on those buildings but hey, the client is the boss). Now I'm working out creature design - which I must confess is my favourite domain.
TheCheshireCat - all of the creature designs are my ideeas. Its what I love so much about the Evilgrin guys: freedom to create! They trust me and I try hard not to disspoint them.
kamal_anjelo, thank you my friend. I do try to get better with the colors and seems like my eyes started to atone with all the shades needed. But there still a lot to be learned and I can't wait for that

Maybe you remember the Frogger. Here is his mommy and his pops:

Great creature work. The lighting and textures are looking good. The only thing that bothers me is the backgrounds, they are blurry and unfinished which takes focus away from the cretures. I think you should leave the backgrounds white or finish them off. nd if they are concepts, they really don't need bg.

You are right MackSztaba, the backgrounds aren't necessary but I hate leaving colored things on white backgrounds. And I didn't detailed the background exactly to keep the character focused in the middle of things. If you do have more input about this, please do comment.
Illegal, I do try. I think I can do better, but I'll let you decide that

Illegal, I have to think I can do better than this. Dali said "don't be afraid of perfection, you'll never achieve it" - but at least we can try, no?
kamal, I've been trying lately to work more with colors or at least to give as much time to color work as I do to pencil shading. Character and creature design was always my thing. Have a huge universe inside my head and I need to get some of it out in order to keep me balanced and not going cucu
Sreevats, yhanks for all your kind words. I have already visited your thread and I was impressed by your work. Droped a messege too

Ok boys and girls, some more work I've done for Evilgrin:

Just do a wash of colors fading into the white background behind the creature. As long as there is some background color to bring the creature forward. Right now it's taking away from the well rendered creatures.

xikE glad you like it. To be honest, the hardest part is the concept itself and the pencil shading. The color part comes pretty easy after a tediouse clean up.
MackSztaba, I think you are right. I promise to try that on my next round of commisions. With this kind of background I did tried to present just a bit the enviroment they are living in.
Untill then, here are a few more concepts done for Evilgrin:
